From Goodreads:
Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in at the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn for the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength and lethal fighting instincts.

Just when life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy and possibly Harper's least favorite person. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him--and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.

With snappy banter, cotillion dresses, non-stop action and a touch of magic, this new young adult series from bestseller Rachel Hawkins is going to make y'all beg for more.

WhyImWaiting_v2
I am a huge of Rachel Hawkins's first series, Hex Hall. I also recently read her spinoff of it, a single book called School Spirits, not one of my favorites but it really did make me crave some more Hawkins. I also really hope this has a better ending than the Hex Hall series, which was slightly disappointing, so I have high hopes for this one.

YA Weekend

So, yes I am indeed horrible person who didn't do a single post last week, but this week will not be the same, well as long as everything follows the schedule. Now I have happily read 4 YA novels this weekend! Wow, that's a lot of books you say, not really it's only 400 pages from Unhinged, 550 from Cress (YES I FINALLY READ CRESS!!!!), 352 from Alienated (I love the cover!), and 384 from Uninvited, coming to a total of 1,686 pages. All in all not that many, and no I promise I'm not trying to brag. I literally stayed up until 4 A.M. reading. So in light of what I have dubbed YA Weekend I will be posting reviews on said books (and books prior to them in the series) this entire week (starting tomorrow) with a goal of posting everyday. So keep coming back for awesome reviews, rants and gushing (and maybe a giveaway!) I still have a few details to work out but I promise to do my best! Also, if I wasn't obvious no Movie Monday today, but I will do WoW and Feature Follow.
